The Nook Collective, St Andrews, Fife

Recently I took a trip to St Andrews with an armful of handmade books to visit The Nook Collective Pop Up Shop ahead of their reopening. Whether you are local, and are new to the Nook Collective, or if you're planning a trip to St Andrews, this is a gorgeous makers space that needs to be explored.

A bit more about The Nook:

Or if you're looking for more things to do on your St Andrews Visit, here's a few of my favourites.

The Nook Collective

Who

The Nook collective brings together 5 established makers (as well as some extra guest makers, like Florrie!) from Fife and the surrounding area in a beautifully dreamy makers space.

What

The Nook Collective stocks a range of jewellery, homeware, textiles, stationery, candles and lots more. Every item has been created by a local artist, living and working within the Dundee/Fife area.

Where

The Nook Collective is located just off South Street, in St Andrews, in the converted Malt Barns Studios . Head towards the arch on South Street, and look for the entrance on the right of Con Panna. Enter via the blue door, head up the stairs to the first floor, take a right through the blue doors, and its next door to the East Nook Studios.

When

The space is reopening (29th April 2023) and is home to a gorgeous selection of work by local independent artists and makers. The pop up will be open Tues-Sunday 11-5pm (check their Instagram for latest news)

Make a day of it!

Finally if you are planning a visit to St Andrews, especially from further a field, why not take the opportunity to discover some favourite local spots. Here are a few of mine:

The Newport Bakery.

Which is just a stone’s throw away from The Nook Collective and serves the most delicious cakes and pastries. The service is friendly and welcoming too!

Book lover? Then this is the book shop of dreams! Beautifully laid out and super friendly staff.

West Sands Beach.

Finally, if the Scottish weather permits it, take a walk the wide expanse of west sands beach. It can be brisk, but the views are completely spectacular and worth getting  a little bit bashed by the winds.
